Alan, happy birthday wishes from all of us and we hope to see you again soon. So, happy trails to you til we meet again. sorry Bobby i had to steal one of your lines.I know you won't miss it for im sure you have a few more where they came from.
Hey Larry , did'nt Gene Autry have that line? or was it Roy Rogers ?
Here's a Alan Makowsky memory: Alan taught my group in arts & crafts how to make a 'mock' switchblade out of popsicle sticks and rubber bands. i never forgot this and can still do it today (whoopee) Actually I used that project yrs ago for my son's cub scout pack..the kids loved that one. I'm sure the parents did too. LOL
Hey Rob, i know Alan was my first cons. when we were in the cubs I could use more stories. He was the greatest. i still can't talk directly to him, tell him happy b day for me. He did tech me the cannonball!

Happy Birthday Alan.
Now that you are retired...that "Panama Hat" will look even better when you wear it on the golf course.
