    Rob...

I had a Keep on Truckin' poster in my dorm room @ Albany.

I'm not sure, but I think Crumb was hired by Janis Joplin to illustrate the cover of her "Cheap Thrills" album. I know he refused to do the same for the Rolling Stones because he disliked their music.

The Album cover is on the Crumb Post.

He illustrated Janis just as he did with all his female characters...Mega T&A and BIG. I guess he had an Amazon fixation. Too bad he disliked the Stones. They're still performing but he's not.

Mitch. Big Brother was not led by Janis Joplin so probably not done for her. Meanwhile if you love Janis you have to go buy "Festival Express" where Janis has 2 mindblowing performance on stage and lot's of funky jamming on the train too.
Who didn't have the "keep on Truckin "poster in their room?

    Rob..

For many many years I had displayed my album covers by hanging them in my basement on all 4 walls. It was my kids playroom and it was colorful and unique. Whenever anyone came downstairs for the first time the comments were always something like "Wow, what a great idea or I had that album" etc. When my kids were younger, the comments from their friends were, "Wow, your parents are old".....as they grew, the comments changed to, "Wow, your parents are cool"....I have since taken over the basement and now it is my office, so the album covers have now met the same fate as yours..tucked neatly away in boxes in the garage.

Did anyone catch 'The true story of Thanksgiving' on the history channel? Turns out that the Thanksgiving meal lasted 3 days and that the Native Americans only left when the food ran out. The feast continued when they invited the Pilgrims to they're camp (crib). True story , I kid you not

    All americans love to party

Wow! The Sunrise Drive In. I used to go there and then later the one in Westbury. They're all gone now...

"They paved paradise & put up a parking lot"............

I used to struggle with the speaker you had to hang on the car window...whenever I pulled into a spot the speaker never worked...
