Thanks to Caryn for preserving this T-shirt . There aren't too many left or too many that still would fit. LOL

Hello Paige , Glad you joined this insane group of maniacs. We can tell you stories that would make your hair curl.

Is the chicken coop still there? Wasnt' your great-grandfather's name Izzy?

Did you realize that the Mohonk is featured in travel magazines . There were many times that we were 'escorted' off the Hotel property.

hi, I think Makowskys would be a great place to have the reunion. It's so funny that I when i picture all of you I see you as 10-18 years old or so, right?

Robin, that's because the thought of all of us in our 50's is scary!

Paige, I imagine that being in a non-colony mode you've seen things in their natural state. My wife and several friends attended SUNY @ New Paltz and awoke each morning with the Mohonk in the background. We went often to the colony in the fall & winter . It was so serene and peaceful. Very different than summers.

We used to hike from the back of the camphouse up the mountain to the Tower. It was truly an adventure for city kids like us. Many colony people played golf there too. Your Dad was my counselor 1 summer, he took us places that no one else new about. I'm going back + - 40 yrs ago.

Anyway , I'm glad you can give us updates and share memories with us . Few people understand the impact of not just the environment we were in , it was also about the people . It was our own little commune.

Was'nt Bob also the camp photographer.
Wow, maybe he has some great photos.

I converted all my parents old 8mm movies to VHS. Now its time to make a DVD.

Funny how my Dad only took movies during the summer.

Sorry I just came across this site today. As I have some VERY sad news that I am sure you all will be sadend by. This is Ira, Joyce & Shelly's son. My Grandfather Milton passed away yesterday. From What I was told, he was in no pain. He lived a very very very long & full life. I know he would have loved to have been around to see you all. In the last year of his life, he was very reflective & regressed often about the past. We wil all miss him dearly. This & the day my dad passed away are the two sadest days of my life. For all of those that remember me, I turn 40 this year, have been married for 3 plus years to my wife Lauren and have a beautiful baby boy named Ethan. I think I recognize some of you, but probably would know for sure by your last name as well. Hi Judy & Steve. I am sorry if this news offends anyone, but I just thought you would like to know.
