    To ALL the Makowsky Family;

    We mourn with you over Freida's departing. Like your Dad , she was an incredible woman that will be missed by so many people & generations.

    I'm glad we were able to honor her at the reunion. Hy Ozer said "we should celebrate her life" , and I think he's right. Her Legacy will remain strong , just as our memories.

    She & your family are in our prayers.

    I echo your sentiments Rob.

    How lucky we all were to have been able to spend our summers together with Milton & Frieda and become part of their extended family. An era has truly ended.

    But, one of the great things about the reunion, was that Milton knew we were planning it...and Frieda was there with all of us to enjoy it. We all will miss you.

    My heartfelt condolences to all of the Makowsky family.

    There are no words to express how truly sorry the Hutt family is on the passing of Freida. All I can say is we thought the world of Milton & Freida and hold so many wonderful memories of the time we spent with them. Makowsky's was truly Camelot, and with their passing, it's truly the end of an era. But as my mentor and good friend Hy so eloquently stated, we should not mourn, but rather celebrate the life of such a wonderful friend we all had in Freida Makowsky. May she rest with her beloved in Milton in eternal peace forever. Please accept our heartfelt deepest sympathy,

    Bea, Dave, Gary & Bobby

    Frieda's smile and the twinkle in her eye will not soon be forgotten. Thank you to Milton and to Freida for so many special memories. We are all so blessed to have been a part of this very special family.

    I did not know that Milton and Freida passed away. I had heard that Milton had Alzheimer's which is always fatal. Milton used to take the red Farmall out and take the kids for a ride. The white golfcart with M&F tooling around was a regular sight. The blue and white 59 Plymouth Plaza without the muffler that Milton used along with the green Chevy truck made quite a racket when they started. The end of summer party was great and sad at the same time as you knew summer was over. They were great people and they made a place that we all shared and loved. Also...Solomon with his dog Mike in tow. He too was such a nice man that everyone liked....

    I was just a kid around 1966 and used to see Frieda leave in her convertible to go to town and she was a classy lady. And Milton ran the place wonderfully. I am in my 60's now and how I wish I could be a kid again and love those carefree days, no cell phones, no TV's, just paddleboard, the pool, reading books, maybe the Radio and not being bored. And Milton had the Movie every Friday usually outside under the beautiful stars, with cartoons first for the kids and Saturdays were inside entertainment for the adults. No crime, no locked doors. It saddens me that those days are gone. but when my time is gone I will have fond memories.
